Winthrop provides two tracks to an M.S.W. degree. Students with an undergraduate degree in a field unrelated to social work can complete the part-time, Traditional program in as few as 3 years. Students who previously earned an undergraduate social work degree with CSWE accreditation can complete the part-time, Advanced Standing program in just 2 years.
After graduating from Winthrop’s M.S.W. program, you’ll possess qualifications for engaging in specialized practice that demands advanced social work knowledge and strong values. After finishing Winthrop’s online M.S.W. program, you’ll be eligible to apply for state social work licensure at the master’s level. Note that state licensure requirements, including specific coursework and supervision expectations, vary from state to state.
